The Friday Night Knitting Club

The Friday Night Knitting CLub

While reading this book, I kept thinking, Steel Magnolias set in a yarn shop.  I felt all proud of this realization… until I looked on the front cover and someone had already gone there.  Oh well.

I’ve always enjoyed books about women’s relationships, so this book was right up my alley.  It was an enjoyable book, if not predictable.  I really enjoyed the Cat character and her journey into self-discovery in middle age.  When I think about it, I actually enjoyed the supporting characters a lot more than the main character, Georgia – who is a great character, don’t get me wrong, but was more stoic than would seem fitting.

All in all, a good book.
